Videography. Marketing. Filmmaking. Creativity. Artistry.
Lightcraft Entertainment seeks to expand beyond its roots in wedding
videography to include a multitude within the variety the video medium
offers. See below some of the newest samples of my work in all categories

Wedding season still hasn't hit Lightcraft Entertainment yet, although a busy year seems inevitable. However, in the meantime, I
wanted to announce that Lightcraft has been recruited by
AllianceMediaNetwork.com as part of its videography team for high
school competitions in the state of Michigan. Special thanks to Giovanni and Tony at Alliance for deciding to give my new
method of computer capture a try at this latest Michigan Color Guard Circuit performance in Canton. Seems like my resume is
only getting longer, haha.

Also, be on the lookout for the newest film for
SecondClassCitizen.org to be posted within the next month. A two-day shoot on
location in a mini-golf range up in Shelby Township, requiring a crew (a first for a SCC film), and also the first of our films to be
shot in HD. Also to be posted soon will be the second episodes of
RepYourCityLive.com's "iRep Detroit" series and DJ Nico's
"Core Reggae" - both are currently in post-production.

Thanks for reading, visiting the site, and an early Happy Valentine's Day to all the couples out there!

P.S. To all potential clients looking for something other than weddings, which this site shows a heavy devotion to, for the time
being, please feel free to email me with inquiries in regards to other projects. I will work with anyone's budget to come up with a
fair price on music videos, bar mitzvahs, etc.

As of February 12, my film "Purple Heart's Final Beat" for Second Class Citizen has been submitted to the G.I. Film Festival in
Washington, DC. The film festival is held every May, and we will receive word back in April as to the film's status - whether it will
be featured in the film festival or not. So please continue to voice your support for the organization at
SecondClassCitizen.org,
and if you haven't already, please take five minutes to watch the film below.

After three days of shooting at the Joe Dumars Fieldhouse in Shelby Township, MI (special thanks to the management staff
there for all their help), this newest film from
SecondClassCitizen.org is finally a reality: A Message for Tiger Woods. Everyone
by now is, I'm sure, familiar with the scandal surrounding Mr. Woods' many extra-marital affairs. Organization founder Terrence
Popp sure is, and he has this piece of advice for Tiger Woods, in the event that the inevitable divorce should occur. Sure, his
wife agreed to take him back... on the condition they alter their pre-nuptial agreement. How long do you think they have?
Special thanks to my crew on this film: Kayla Porvaznick, who loaned me her HD camera for this production; Sarah Himes for
her help in lugging lights and equipment; and Justin Rowell, my best friend, site creator, and gaffer for providing the lights.

Well, despite a rejection from the G.I. Film Festival (most likely due to a political decision; our film is far from a puff
piece that encourages enlistment), the word of mouth engine behind "
Purple Heart's Final Beat"  is gathering steam.
Lightcraft and Second Class Citizen are officially headlining the next
Mitten Movie Project  on May 4. The MMP is a
local film festival, curated by an independent filmmaker, that is held at the Main Art Theater in Royal Oak, MI on the
first Tuesday of every month. Based on the strength of the reaction by this festival's curator, I recently received a
personal call from the head of the
Detroit Independent Film Festival, who personally requested a copy of the film so
that he could have it for the 2011 DIFF.
Wow. All this news hit on the same day. More demos to come soon as the first weddings of the season are
completed, but for now, enjoy this small snippet of joy from Dan and Shuston's wedding on April 2.

Well happy 27th birthday to me!! And as my gift to you, here is my newest demo. A lot of people out there think videography is
such an expensive vocation... and they're right. But not to the level that most people would probably assume. There are
definitely some expensive toys out there being rocked by a lot of big wigs who usually have more money than good sense or
creativity. This demo isn't even so much about showing you my skills with a camera so much as it is a tribute to the other "little
guys" out there, like myself, who work with what we have because we genuinely enjoy the work and look for new ways to
better ourselves. In a nutshell, as a videographer, you don't need to spend $15,000 on a professional Steadicam rig in order to
get smooth images that'll knock people's socks off; and as the clients, you don't need to spend thousands upon thousands of
dollars to get the cinematic look you want. With a little bit of grace and a lot of practice, you can have people shaking their
heads in wonder at how you managed to pull off those smooth shots, and that's how word of mouth has gotten me to the point
I'm at. Thanks for watching!

Tuesday, May 4 was a red letter day for Lightcraft Entertainment and Second Class Citizen, 501(c). In a stunning announcement
made by festival curator Connie Mangilin of the Mitten Movie Project, "Purple Heart's Final Beat" won the Audience Award for
May's film festival, placing over secondary headliner "Last Call" and the short film "Where it Hushes." Despite having only a
few friends and family in attendance for the sold-out screening (other filmmakers seem to had brought small cities of people
with them), our film about the reality facing veterans returning stateside to broken homes walked away with 32% of the vote.
The film will be screened again this December at the Main Art Theatre, in competition against all the other monthly winners
from the year. Also, based on the word of mouth both prior to and after the festival, "Purple Heart's Final Beat" has been
selected to screen at both the Blue Water Film Festival this October and next year's Detroit Independent Film Festival. This
announcement comes right as we prepare to make the transition to the HD market, and with a minimum of three projects for
Second Class Citizen slated for production over the next year. Also in attendance at the MMP was Luc Poirier from the Detroit
Film News, a webisode series covering events in the Michigan film world. Both myself and Sergeant Terrence Popp (Operator
1) from Second Class Citizen were interviewed. When that episode of the show becomes available, it will be posted on the
site. Thank you all very much for your support and please continue to spread the word about Lightcraft and SCC.

Two kinds of updates on this post!
First of all, the interviews from the Mitten Movie Project are up on the Michigan Film News website, special thanks to Luc
Poirier and all his kind words about our film. I think I look like crap on camera (I'm a director for a reason, haha) but here it is.

Second of all, the first Lightcraft wedding of the new year has found its way back to its couple, Dan and Shu Vincent. After
six long weeks of special effects trials and errors, and about a million hours of rendering, "Star Wars-Crossed Lovers" was
finished, resulting in the most glowing and amazing review I've ever gotten from a couple. It came via text message
immediately after they finished watching it.
From Dan: "You've reduced us to puddles of mush. Good lord. You are the best at what you do! I've never seen anything
like it. Shu's in the bathroom drying up the tears. Just breathtaking. Splendid effects. Loved every little joke, close up,
scene in perfect sync with the music, and the emotion you derived. Great, great, great job."
From Shu: "You got me. I laughed, I cried, I bawled my eyes out. You did an absolutely amazing job. It was the best job I have
ever seen. The special effects, the music and the endless perfect footage. Thank you a million times over!"
Well, to Dan and Shu, thank YOU a million times over for such a wonderful time, and for the most blush-worthy review I've
ever gotten. You two are terrific, and Dan, you gotta have me over to play some "Turtles in Time" on that arcade machine
you have!
Demos from Dan and Shu's wedding will be posted soon. What an incredible start to the season. Keep coming back for more
updates!

Things have been hectic as we hit the main heart of the wedding season in Michigan. I'm churning out edits as fast as
possible while attempting to keep up in the film festival circuit, write scripts for
SecondClassCitizen.org and plan a new
online show. Needless to say, I'm a busy bee and it's been keeping up with weddings that prevents updates on a more
consistent basis. But here is one that's long overdue! The new demo sequences from the Vincent wedding are up on
YouTube.com/lightcraft83, along with a few others that I had been meaning to post for a while. My second wedding for the
year, the Frys, just got its review back this morning from the couple, and they are in love with the video. As expected, the
"Family Guy"-style cutaways during the video messages portion worked out amazingly well. I'll have to put that one up
online soon. But for now, here is arguably the pinnacle of my wedding videography career so far:
For Second Class Citizen, there are plans for a minimum of three films to be finished this summer. The big kahuna of which will
have a casting call on here as soon as a location and date for shooting are secure, so stay tuned. The new online show I mentioned
will be a review-style show with vlogs and other such amusing shenanigans. I've been a huge fan of online personalities such as
James Rolfe (
Cinemassacre.com) and Doug Walker (ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com) for years, and given my own penchant for
trashing bad movies and TV, I've decided I'm going to toss my own hat into that ring and give it a shot. More details as production
draws closer, but the first two reviews you can expect to see up will be for the second movie trailer for "Cast Away" and the
cinematic holocaust that is "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier." And yes, this does mean that I will be crawling out from behind the
camera and putting myself center stage for these reviews, which is something I never thought I'd have the guts to do. So don't be
too harsh on these reviews when they surface. Thanks for reading and I hope everyone has had a great start to their summer!

Also, a big P.S.: LightcraftEntertainment.com will be undergoing a huge overhaul now that we have gone HD and will be branching
out significantly in the business. Weddings will no longer be the primary focus but will instead be a section of a four part business
focusing also on music videos, short films, and the review show. This year is going to be the start of something new and exciting!
